You'd think by now, I wouldn't get nervous before these things.

[He's showing some pieces at a gallery thing. idk art stuff. but his instinct when he's nervous beforehand is to text Matt. Like clock work.]

[He can't manage words right now, can't do anything but focus on keeping himself upright bent over the bed while Matt finishes. His entire body feels alive from how good that felt, from how perfect it was.

It's only after Matt lays back on the bed that Nate even can turn his head to look at him.]

Move over. [He says with a laugh as he crawls into bed, curling up beside Matt and trying to avoid that wet spot on his sheets from his climax.]

I can't [ he tells him with a laugh that seems to send another shudder through him, but still he shifts up the bed, looking over towards Nate and ushering him up against him. ]

You okay? [ he asks ] Didn't hurt you did I? [ Because he's well aware he was anything but gentle there. ]

I'm tougher than I look. [He says with a light chuckle. But knowing that Matt cares is nice. He shifts himself up to kiss him softly.]

I'm fine. Better than fine. That was the best sex of my life, honestly.

Yeah? [ Matt has a hugely self satisfied grin at that, and he leans in to return the kiss slowly and lazily. ]

Well it was pretty fucking memorable. [ He leans up close, setting his hand out against Nate's stomach as he presses a kiss to his shoulder. ]

Can't believe I did that [ he adds, letting out a little laugh. He doubts he needs to clarify what 'that' is. ]

I can't either. It was good, though. Really good. Always heard girls whispering about how good you were with your tongue. Now I know for myself that they were right.

Yeah? [ he lifts his head from the pillow a bit at that and grins. Always nice to get good reviews after all. ]

It was like one of those 3D movies with the glasses. You know, coming right at you. [ h i l a r i o u s ]

[Nate laughs and gives him a playful shove, even as he remains curled up next to him.]

Not so bad, though, yeah?

Not so bad [ he agrees quietly, turning and kissing his shoulder again, before responding again a little softly

Not sure, but I'm hoping you still think it's good. [He responds, just as quiet, his mouth turning up in a small smile.]

Yeah well I'm not complaining. I mean look at me, my dick won't even go soft. I think you broke it. Still not a complaint by the way.

[That makes him laugh in earnest.]

Good. Because I'd really like to keep doing this. Whatever it is we're doing.

What are we doing? [ He doesn't really know why he's pushing for an answer on that, given he's the one that freaks out at the drop of a hat. But maybe he's trying to push himself as much as anything else. ]

Dunno. I mean, you called tonight a date, yeah? And I'm not-- I mean, I'm not interested in seeing anyone else. Not sure if you are..?

No [ he answers quickly, and reaches over to hold him a little bit closer, like it's really important that he does right now. ] No I'm really not, babe.

[Nate's not complaining about being held closer.]

I like that. [he says quietly] The way you call me babe.

[ Truth be told, Matt hasn't noticed that he's started doing it. Somewhere it switched, and yet it's entirely natural. He finds himself smiling. ]

Yeah I like it too.

[ He reaches out, hand finding Nate's so he can lace his fingers between his. ]

Nate... [ he starts, almost cautious ] Don't date anyone else, yeah? [ Not that he expects that he would, not that he thinks he's that sort of guy, but it's his somewhat awkward way of saying that he wants this to be a thing, a real thing, even if he's not quite ready to use the word boyfriend. ]

[He knows what Matt is trying to say without actually saying it. And it doesn't bother him that the words are harder for Matt to manage. He can be patient with that.]

I won't if you won't.

[They don't have to call this anything, but he doesn't want it unclear that it should all be fair.]

[ He's a touch hesitant, not because he doesn't want to, but because it feels like an extra huge step. It's not like Matt is really seeing anybody properly. Oh people here and there, but nothing more than friends with benefits. But that's not what he wants this to be. ]
